Why Pagekit exists

Most CMS platforms were built for marketers and then handed to developers as an afterthought. You end up fighting the tool instead of shipping your product. Pagekit flips that: it's a blog-shaped content API first, with a Markdown editor that writers actually enjoy.

We built Pagekit because we got tired of rebuilding the same CMS plumbing for every client project. Posts, pages, tags, webhooks, API keys — it's the same every time. Now we build it once, and you fetch it over an API.

What we believe

• You own the frontend. Pagekit is a backend. Render your content however you want — Next.js, Remix, Astro, or a plain HTML file. No themes, no vendor lock-in.
• Flat pricing, no surprises. $20/mo for Pro. No per-seat tax, no $300 cliff between free and paid. Your bill doesn't grow because your team does.
• Markdown is the format. Not proprietary rich text. Not HTML in a WYSIWYG. Markdown — portable, version-controllable, and readable by every tool in your stack.
• Webhooks over polling. When you publish, Pagekit fires a webhook. Your deploy pipeline listens. ISR revalidates. No cron jobs, no polling, no stale content.
• AI as an assistant, never an author. Agents can draft, rewrite, and summarize — but humans approve before anything goes live.
